Let’s lay out the entire case... We’ll go over the entire incident from beginning to end and make everything clear...

I’ll... try summarizing the incident as best I can.
Let’s start from the beginning, when Byakuya received a threatening letter...
The sender claimed a murder was going to happen that night. Concerned, Byakuya decided to take action...
...and throw a party.
If everyone was together in the old building’s dining hall, he could monitor us all night.
We followed Byakuya’s orders and gathered in the hall, and even though we were one person short... the party began as planned.
However, at that time... Nagito’s trap was already in motion.
In order to cap the power supply, he had plugged in three irons in the storage room.
The automatic timers of the air conditioners - which were located inside the hall and office - were also set to 11:30PM.
Once the clock reached 11:30PM, both machines would turn on. They and the irons would draw in so much power that it would trip the circuit breakers.
Before the party, someone else - the true killer - was also at work.
The killer probably knew about Nagito's plan in advance, so they’d already prepared a weapon...
A steel skewer used for Churrasco dishes. The killer hid one inside a large piece of meat.
It’s possible they also had a light source prepared, perhaps the portable stove... but the arrival of a certain someone would blow that idea right out of the water.
After inspecting everyone for dangerous items, Byakuya turned his attention to the kitchen.
There he took the knives, the forks... as well as the portable stove.
To make matters worse, he then demanded the killer join him in the hall.
Knowing better than to argue, the killer complied... but not before pocketing the steel skewer.
With Byakuya having raided the kitchen, the culprit needed another source of light.
But, what was available in the hall? There was the lamp, but that relied solely on electricity, and Byakuya wasn’t about to reopen the duralumin case.
So... the culprit opted for something nobody could have expected.
My camera.
Unlike everyone else, the culprit knew my camera had a quick release lock.
If they were able to take it without me noticing, they could use the flash to navigate the dark hallways.
That’s why my camera went missing during the party. When the culprit had the chance, they *stole it*.
Moments later, Nagito’s plan was set into motion as the building’s power went out.
Since the windows in the old building were covered, it was near impossible to see in that darkness.
But Byakuya was prepared for this. He reached into the duralumin case he had with him...
...and took out a pair of night-vision goggles.
It was just one item from the range of defense goods Byakuya had brought with him to the party.
Having put on the goggles, Byakuya saw... Nagito behaving suspiciously...
Nagito had followed the power cord of a tabletop lamp and crawled under a table.
Up until now, everything had gone exactly according to Nagito’s plan. Both the warning letter and the blackout were his doing...
By this point, the killer had used my camera to walk through the old building’s hallway.
They made a point to close the fire door in the hallway so the camera flash wouldn’t be noticed.
Guided by the light of the flashes, the killer entered the storage room and grabbed a specific item...
A tablecloth to block the blood splatter.
With this, the killer snuck under the floorboards through the secret passage.
They probably left my camera by the entrance of the door. The floor in the dining hall is full of gaps, so a camera flash would definitely be noticed... and the snap of a photo clearly heard.
But thanks to the glowing mark painted on the knife, the killer was able to settle directly under the table.
After his tussle with Nagito, Byakuya discovered the knife.
If he hadn’t grabbed it, he might have been spared...
But Byakuya... he took it upon himself to confiscate all dangerous items.
So he grabbed the knife, causing the glowing mark to shift...
...and signaling for the killer to stab through the gaps in the floor.
They stabbed so fast and so often... Byakuya wouldn’t have stood a chance.
Under that table, he was brutally killed.
When they were finished... the killer shouted from beneath the floorboards to make it seem like they were in the dining hall.
Afterward, they came out from underneath the floorboards and rushed back to the kitchen.
And then, after hiding the murder weapon in the kitchen, they rejoined the group as if nothing had happened.
There’s only one person who could have done all that.
Only one person who would think to hide the weapon in such a strange hiding place...
And that person...
Can only be you, Teruteru Hanamura.
